Introduction

HadaBay is committed to running a safe, reliable service. We aim to operate with integrity, transparency, and respect for applicable laws and regulations in the regions where we are available.

This policy explains our approach to compliance, including identity checks (often called KYC), risk-based due diligence, monitoring, and record keeping.

Objectives

  • Help prevent misuse of the service for illegal activity (including fraud, money laundering, and terrorist financing).
  • Maintain a practical framework to identify and verify users where required, and to reduce risk in transactions.
  • Follow relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards that apply to our service.

Identity checks (KYC)

Where required by law, regulation, or safety needs, we may request information to verify a user’s identity. This can include:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Phone number and email address
  • Residential address
  • Occupation or business information (if relevant)

Customer due diligence (CDD)

We take a risk-based approach. Depending on your profile and usage, we may ask for additional information or documents. For business accounts (if supported), we may also request ownership and business details.

Ongoing monitoring

We monitor for suspicious or unusual activity. This can include:

  • Reviewing transactions for unusual patterns or high-risk behavior
  • Refreshing user information periodically to keep it accurate
  • Escalating and reporting suspicious activity where legally required

Governance

HadaBay assigns responsibility for compliance oversight and ensures policies are reviewed as the product evolves.

Training and awareness

Team members receive guidance on compliance responsibilities, safe operations, and how to handle risk and suspicious activity.

Record keeping

We keep records related to identity checks, transactions, and compliance actions as required by applicable rules, and retain them for the required period.
